Joshua Tree #2
A year ago I began a series of works based on my visit to Joshua Tree National Park (California) in 2011. This diptych, created by using two 18x18 canvases, is the second piece from that series. To date I have completed a total of nine canvases in the Joshua Tree series.

Joshua Tree #1
This canvas was the first in a series of paintings I created last year based on my visit to Joshua Tree National Park in Fall 2011. The park is located in the southern region of the Mojave Desert, just east of the Coachella Valley and Palm Springs, California. I had never really seen a desert before, and I was totally captivated with its beauty and remoteness.

Structure and Light: Delaplaine Exhibit Opening
My two-person show with Washington, D.C. artist Tinam Valk opened this past Saturday, April 2 at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center in Frederick, Maryland. Our exhibit is entitled "Structure and Light" and features 18 of my paintings. The opening reception was attended by approximately 90 people, and I sold six paintings that afternoon. The exhibit will run until Sunday, May 1 at the Delaplaine's gallery located at 40 South Carroll Street, Frederick MD 21701 (www.delaplaine.org).
That's me and Tinam posing under the title wall of the exhibit. Her work is to the left, mine to the right.
Photo montage taken during our installation. Above, five of my architectural canvases; lower left, Tinam hanging one of her pieces; lower right, three more of my paintings.

"The Original Position" cover art
I’m honored to have one of my canvases, “Fourth and Montgomery,” selected as the cover art for Dr. Timothy Hinton’s new philosophy book “The Original Position,” published this month by Cambridge University Press. I am sincerely grateful to Dr. Hinton for this fabulous opportunity. http://www.cambridge.org/us/academic/subjects/philosophy/political-philosophy/original-position
